Apple will soon add support for 12 new languages to the Vision Pro virtual keyboard. In this respect reports MacRumors portal with links to new languages detected in VisionOS firmware code.
Currently, the Apple Vision Pro keyboard only supports US English and Emoji. The headset is officially sold only in the United States, and the emergence of new languages suggests that the device will be released outside the United States soon. According to the source, traditional Cantonese, simplified Chinese, English for Australia, Canada, Japan, Singapore and the United Kingdom, French, German, Japanese and Korean for Canada and France will be added to the headset.
Apple is expected to launch the Vision Pro in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and the United Kingdom. The device may also go on sale in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The absence of the Russian language in the upcoming update indicates that Apple is not considering adding support to Vision Pro, at least at this stage.
During the US launch of the Vision Pro, Apple said it would launch the headset in more countries later this year. Rumor has it that this will happen as part of the WWDC 2024 developer conference in June.
Previously Apple started iPhone 15 assembly in Brazil.
