The new foldable smartphone Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have an external display with a diagonal of 3.9 inches, slightly larger than the 3.4-inch matrix in last year’s model. In this respect reports GSMArena broadcast.
GSMArena mentions in its news a reliable insider who appears on social networks under the pseudonym TheGalox_. From its report, it also appears that the outer display of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will receive a protective layer of Gorilla Glass Armor. Samsung had previously used a similar solution in its flagship smartphone Galaxy S24 Ultra.
It is known from other leaks that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a 6.7-inch main display, an improved folding hinge, and a new component layout that will allow for a larger cooling system. Additionally, the foldable smartphone is likely to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset along with up to 12GB of RAM. Thus, Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be the first smartphone from Samsung’s Flip series with more than 8 GB of RAM.
The rear panel will reportedly house a dual camera with a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Samsung will also offer Galaxy AI features and 7 years of software support, just like the Galaxy S24 series. The Flip 6 is also said to have a 4,000mAh battery, which will be a welcome upgrade over the Flip 5’s 3,700mAh battery.
Samsung is expected to announce Flip 6 along with Fold 6 and Galaxy Ring at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July.
Previously Samsung decided Copy the design of Apple watches to the new Galaxy Watch.
