Nuhu said that there was a slight decrease in the market in 2022 due to the departure of many foreign companies from the Russian Federation. Now the sector has almost compensated for the losses. The volume of the video game market in Russia is one of the largest in the world, a Tencent expert said.
“Russia ranks sixth in Europe and among the top ten in the world in terms of revenue from mobile games. We know that Russians do not spend a lot of money on games, but they download a lot of applications from various stores,” said Nuhu.
Dmitry Zdesev, general producer of the Game Art Pioneers studio, who was present at the same meeting, added that Russian developers are capable of creating high-quality games. Moreover, projects can bring significant profits to their creators.
“We need to create our own disciplines. We have many good developers in the country and I am confident that we can make money from the games we produce,” said Zdesev.
