More than a third of Russians dropped their smartphone on their face at least once before going to bed

About 41.7 percent of Russians spend about half an hour glued to their smartphones while in bed. socialbites.ca learned this from an investigation conducted by Wazzup, a service for incorporating instant messengers into automated business processes. Almost a third (29.2%) admitted they did this for about an hour. 18.1% of participants watch TV and 11.1% read books before falling asleep.

Among those who can’t leave their phone even in bed, more than a third (36.1%) of those surveyed have been hit in the nose with a tool at least once. 1.4% constantly face this problem. While they are lying on their back, the smartphone falls out of their hands and hits their face. Therefore, 62.5% prefer the side position.

Approximately half of the participants (48.6%) fall asleep instantly within half an hour, and a third (38.9%) within a few minutes. And only 2.8% have to “count sheep” and 9.7% have to toss and turn in bed for long periods of time. 5.6% of participants never dream, just over a third (36.1%) rarely dream, and 56.9% always dream.

About a quarter of survey respondents do not wake up during the REM sleep stage, so waking up is difficult for them. The other 40.3% have the habit of setting their alarm clock for 5-10 minutes. One in ten people (11.1%) lie still for a while after waking up and read messages on their smartphones. Almost a quarter (23.6%) get up and go to the toilet immediately after waking up.

1.4 thousand people over the age of 18 from different regions of Russia participated in the Wazzup survey.
