According to Magomedov, criminals work in pairs. Under the guise of employees of large banks, they call the victim via instant messengers, asking them to turn on screen sharing, supposedly to “improve the functioning of the system” and “improve the functioning of the system.” This allows fraudsters to obtain enough information to hack a bank customer’s personal account.
The expert recalled that real bank employees never communicate with customers via instant messengers and, moreover, do not use the video call function.
