American blogger and technology enthusiast Aaron Christophel managed to release the cult first-person action movie Doom on the Elowera Planck Mini smart toothbrush with color screen. This was reported by portal TechRadar.
The craftsman used the function of updating the firmware of the device via a wireless Wi-Fi network by installing a special version of the software on the ESP32-C3 brush microcontroller. After that, Christophel downloaded a 1993 video game onto his toothbrushing device. This step turned out to be quite simple since Doom already runs on ESP32 series microcontrollers.
Even though the toothbrush had access to its hardware and sensor data, the blogger needed to connect a wireless mouse to the toothbrush to control the character in Doom. With his help, Christophel showed that the game runs quite well even on such a platform.
Doom is one of the most famous games in history. But enthusiasts have also famously managed to run Doom on almost any electronic device (microwave ovens, refrigerators, lawnmowers, and even pregnancy tests).
Formerly a scientist managed Run Doom on a “computer” of gut bacteria.
