Apple breaks iPhone batteries with new iOS update

After updating to iOS 17.4, some users started complaining about a significant increase in the battery consumption of their iPhone. In some cases, smartphones drained 40% of their battery in just two hours. reports Daily mail.

In addition to complaints about abnormal battery consumption, some iPhone owners also complained about problems charging their devices after the update. For example, an iPhone 11 Pro user stated that charging from 40% to 94% took more than four hours.

Experts believe that the problem may be temporary and will resolve on its own. In some cases, it is recommended to restart your device and update all applications. To track battery usage, users can go to the Battery section in Settings, which provides detailed information about how the charge is distributed between apps. If you identify apps that consume abnormally high energy, we recommend that you update, close or delete them.

The iOS 17.4 update also introduces new battery health tracking feature, including number of charge cycles, date of manufacture, and time of first use. The update became available on March 5. It enabled support for third-party app stores for EU countries and much more for Apple devices.
