According to the official announcement, users will not be able to install Amazon Appstore, WSA’s only application store, as of March 6, 2024. It will also be impossible to download new applications from this source. Developers will no longer be able to publish new WSA-compliant applications to the Amazon Appstore.

However, the Amazon store will continue to work on other devices. Apps installed from Amazon Appstore before March 6, 2024 will be updated until March 5, 2025, and will no longer be supported after that date.

Windows Subsystem for Android was first available in October 2021. Later, the beta version of WSA supporting Android applications was made available to Windows 11 users. This service allows you to install applications in .apk format, bypassing the Amazon store. It was not stated whether such a plan would work after support ends.
