Apple plans to rebrand Apple ID. The service will be renamed Apple Account, reports MacRumors portal with links to resources.
According to journalists, Apple Account could appear as early as this year, most likely with the autumn release of iOS 18 and macOS 15. At the same time, Apple-branded apps and services will also be updated to display the new name. Even now, it is stated that there is the phrase Apple Account in some documents and on the website.
The source also admits that rebranding is still in question. For example, Apple used three different operating system names during internal testing of the Vision Pro headset: realityOS, xrOS, and VisionOS. The last title has reached the final version.
