Xiaomi has announced plans to update its smartphones and tablets to the new HyperOS operating system. This applies to the global 20 smartphone models in the Xiaomi and Redmi series, as well as two Xiaomi tablets. reports GSMArena portal.
HyperOS is a new operating system from Xiaomi, introduced with the flagship Xiaomi 14 at the end of October 2023. The firmware largely repeats the old MIUI and is more aimed at uniting all the company’s devices into a single ecosystem.
According to the published list, the HyperOS update will be distributed in the first half of 2024 for Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13T lines. Redmi smartphones include Redmi Note 12 5G, as well as Redmi Note 13 4G and 5G lines. Redmi Pad SE and Xiaomi Pad 6 tablets will also receive the update.
The company has already updated some international versions of its smartphones to HyperOS. Users of the Poco F5, the company’s mid-budget smartphone with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, were among the first to receive the firmware.
