A football simulator that will be a domestic analogue of FIFA (EA Sports FC) is being developed in Russia. About this TASS said President of the All-Russian Physical Sports Federation Nikita Nagorny.
Nagorny noted that the project was supported by Gazprom. According to him, players and sports fans will see the project soon. Nagorny also admitted that creating a quality game takes a lot of time and effort.
“Actually, I know it’s already in development. The agenda was not to ask the president to develop it, but to ask him to support the initiative. Because Gazprom is already developing an analogue and I hope we will see it soon. I know a game takes more than a year to develop, it takes decades. But one way or another, the work is already in progress, so sooner or later we will see this game,” said Nagorny.
At the Future Games in Kazan, Russian President Vladimir Putin became familiar with the idea of u200bu200bcreating a domestic analogue of the FIFA football simulator. Former football player Andrei Arshavin approached the president with a proposal to create a Russian game that would include the Russian national team and more. According to the football player, Gazprom president Alexey Miller can help implement this idea.
In the spring of 2022, EA announced the suspension of sales of its games in Russia and also removed Russian clubs and national team from FIFA 22. Russian athletes did not take part in the company’s subsequent matches. Additionally, EA banned Russians from participating in FIFA and Apex Legends tournaments.
FIFA 2023 football simulator was the last episode of the series published in cooperation with the International Football Federation. The next project was the game EA Sports FC 2024.
