Google Chrome browser now has a Help me write function that helps you write text using artificial intelligence. In this respect reports TechCrunch.

Initially, this function was available in the Gmail service, where it could be used to write emails. Now the innovation works inside the browser and is available in the text input field on any website. Help me write is based on Google’s Gemini model and is currently available as an experimental feature.

To enable this feature, you need to go to the Chrome settings menu and select the “Experimental AI” section. Here you can also activate the new function of automatically organizing Google tabs. So far Help Me Write only supports English and works in Chrome on Windows, Mac, and Linux.

To use the function, you need to right-click on any text field and select Help me write from the context menu. With the help of it, the user can create new text on demand or reformulate existing text in various styles. The function is optimized for short text such as emails and may be less effective when rendering large text volumes.

It is stated that one of the advantages of the function is that it adapts to the site the user is on. In Google’s privacy policy, it is stated that the text, content and URL of the page where the feature created by artificial intelligence is used are sent to Google. According to Google, this information is used for research to improve the Help me write feature.

Previously Elon Musk criticized Google for Gemini’s unethical practices.
