WhatsApp developers have added new text formatting options to the messenger. You can now structure your messages by highlighting quotes and using other types of text formatting. reports Border.
Available methods for highlighting text in bold (*Text*), italic (_Text_), strikethrough ()Text) and new accents appeared in monospaced font (“`Text“`). So it became possible to create lists with pointers (- Text) and numbering (Text 1).
Additionally, WhatsApp users can now highlight a quote (>Text) and paste code snippets while preserving formatting (Text).
Similar text formatting methods are available in Telegram. But in Pavel Durov’s messenger, this is implemented much more simply – just select the desired text and choose the type of formatting from the drop-down menu.
The new features are already available to all WhatsApp users on Android, iOS, Mac and the web version of the messenger. It was not stated whether the new formatting would work in the Windows application.
