Microsoft has released an update for its Copilot chatbot for beta testers in Windows 11’s Canary channel. Now a neural network can control a computer, says on the company’s blog.
The February 20 update notes that Copilot can now show available Wi-Fi networks, provide information about the user’s computer, show battery status, enable battery saver mode on laptops, empty the trash, and much more. The chatbot has also learned to manage features for users with disabilities, including voice input, font changes, increased contrast, and more.
It is also stated that Copilot can switch between light and dark themes, take screenshots, turn on Do Not Disturb mode, change the volume, open the desired application and more.
For now, these features are only available to testers. It is unknown when they will be available to all users.
Copilot is a Microsoft chatbot powered by OpenAI’s GPT language model. The neural network was first known as Bing Chat AI and was launched in February 2023.
Previously OpenAI prohibited uses the Russian “Zen” to train neural networks.
