Serene Industries, founded by designer Denis Agarkov, introduced the Icebreaker keyboard, whose main feature is that its body and keys are made of aluminum. In this respect reports Trend Hunter publication.
The design of the device is inspired by the Flatiron skyscraper in New York. It is produced using 6061 aluminum alloy.
Icebreaker is equipped with a programmable scroll wheel that can be used to scroll web pages, rewind videos, play music and more. The main keys are customizable, meaning their click mechanisms and covers can be changed if desired. In this case, the LED backlight of each button will remain the same.
“I wanted to create a radical design that at first glance might not say much and seem foreign, but at the same time preserve all the functions that are important for fans of mechanical keyboards,” Agarkov said.
Icebreaker is currently still in development. It is assumed that the final version of the keyboard will have wireless connectivity and be equipped with a 5000 mAh battery.
It was not announced when the device will go on sale and how much it will cost.
