A designer from the AR 4789 YouTube channel presented the concept of the Windows 12 Mobile mobile operating system. Video available on the channel of enthusiasts.
In a fan presentation, the designer showed off the various functions and capabilities of the system, which resembles a mobile-optimized desktop version of Android, iOS, and Windows 11. At the same time, the design of the previously existing Windows Mobile and Windows Phone is not shown in the video.
According to the author’s idea, the system allows the user to customize the desktop to his liking and use more than one desktop. Applications that can be seen on the screen include the Edge browser, Microsoft Store application store and artificial intelligence chatbot Copilot. In all cases, the application icons are the same as the PC versions.
The concept is not associated with Microsoft in any way, so the designer’s idea for the AR 4789 will most likely never come true. Microsoft finally ended support for Windows 10 Mobile on January 14, 2020, unable to cope with competition from Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS. The main manufacturer of Windows smartphones was Nokia, but this operating system was also used by devices from Samsung, HTC, HP and many other manufacturers.
Previously Google launched Android15.
