Russian designer Denis Simachev will take part in the development of the Sber Kandinsky neural network – the artist will provide a dataset for training a generative machine learning model. This is stated in the agreement signed by the designer and Deputy Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Development Department of Sberbank Maxim Eremenko. The press service of the financial institution reported that the document is about cooperation in the development of artificial intelligence.
Specifically, we’re talking about using the artist’s original datasets to create a historically accurate Khokhloma design.
The parties also intend to develop scenarios for the use of Kandinsky machine learning models for potential future pilot projects in the fashion industry and related industries.
As Maxim Eremenko noted, training generative neural network models is not possible without the participation of experienced and professional creative people.
According to him, Sber’s collaboration with a creative person like Denis Simachev will help Sber’s model of Kandinsky become better and more artistically educated.
“With the signed agreement, it is planned to carry out studies in various creative fields.
