Test results of a device with Google’s new mobile processor Tensor G4 chip appeared in the Geekbench 5 benchmark database. This attracted attention attention Chinese edition of MyDrivers.
Geekbench 5 data shows that the Tensor G4 has eight cores: one large core at 3.1GHz, three medium cores at 2.6GHz, and four smaller cores at 1.95GHz. Mali-G715 GPU is responsible for processing on-chip graphics. It was also learned that the chip supports 5G communication.
As a result of the tests, the device with Tensor G4 running Android 14 and 8 GB RAM received 1082 points in Geekbench 5 single-core mode and 3121 points in multi-core mode. For comparison, the 2023 flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, scores 912 and 3284 points in single-core and multi-core modes respectively.
According to the published test results, it appears that Tensor G4 will be Google’s most powerful chip. The first devices based on this processor are expected to be Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro smartphones.
