Data miners found mention of a new device codenamed Citron, most likely the Pixel Tablet 2, in the code of the latest beta version of Android 14. reports Published by GizmoChina.
Previously, the Pixel Tablet project was associated with codenames such as Tangor and Tangorpro. The appearance of the word Citron in this list indicates that another version of the tablet is being developed.
GizmoChina writes that the creation of the Google Pixel Tablet was always associated with citrus fruits by the company’s engineers. Tangor is a hybrid obtained by crossing a sweet orange with another citrus variety. The most common example of tangor is clementine.
Cryptic references to Korlan and Yuzu devices, as well as Citron, were found in the Android 14 beta code. It is assumed that these names may hide Pixel Tablet accessories. One of them should be a docking station for charging the tablet.
Although the technical specifications of Pixel Tablet 2 are not disclosed by official sources, according to rumors, the new Google tablet may have Pixel Stylus and keyboard support in addition to the OLED screen.
