Shortly after the release of the Vision Pro mixed reality headset, Apple released a special accessory for it – the Developer Strap, priced at $ 299 (about 27 thousand rubles at the exchange rate of February 4, 2024). In this respect reports The Verge’s edition.
The Developer Strap is a USB-C dongle that allows you to connect Vision Pro to Mac computers. The accessory connects to the headset via a special socket designed by default for the audio strap.
Apple is positioning the new product as a way to “accelerate the development of graphics-intensive apps and games.” The port is expected to allow you to perform tasks such as compiling and debugging applications without depending on a Wi-Fi connection. Apple does not specify whether Developer Strap allows file transfers.
Purchasing Developer Belt is only available to people with a paid developer profile. Other users cannot purchase the accessory.
Apple Vision Pro headphones went on sale in the USA on February 2. The new product will be available in stores in other countries before the end of this year.
