The iPhone 16 Pro Max will receive an improved main camera sensor, around which Apple’s advertising campaign will most likely be built. In this respect reports MacRumor’s publication quotes a Chinese insider who appears on social networks under the pseudonym Digital Chat Station.
According to Digital Chat Station, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be an “imaging flagship,” meaning it will rely heavily on new camera features. There will be a 48-megapixel Sony IMX903 sensor with advanced options such as 14-bit analog-to-digital converter and DCG to improve dynamic range and noise reduction.
Sony IMX903 is 12% larger than the sensor used in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro. A larger sensor will improve dynamic range and background blur, significantly increasing the camera’s low-light performance.
Digital Chat Station also mentioned that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have slightly curved screens. Thus, the new elements will continue to comply with the design code of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
