A new beta version of WhatsApp messenger has appeared in the Google Play application store, which supports the function of formatting text in messages. In this respect reports WABetaInfo portal.
According to the source, the new option is implemented as a context menu when editing a message. Using formatting, you can quote individual parts of posts as well as organize them into numbered or bulleted lists. To do this, the user will need to use special characters.

You can only try the formatting in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android, code 2.24.2.9. It is already available for download for testers in some countries. A new function is expected to appear in the public version of the messenger in the near future.
