Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Asus introduced the ROG NUC gaming nettop as part of the CES 2024 technology fair in Las Vegas. In this respect reports Neowin edition.

Originally, NUCs were minicomputers developed by Intel. In the summer of 2023, the American technology giant announced that the brand was closing. However, Asus and Intel later reached an agreement under which the former company will continue to produce NUC devices.

The ROG NUC is a classic NUC, meaning it’s a Wi-Fi router-sized computer on a stand. The new Asus product differs from conventional devices with its aggressive design specific to the products of the ROG gaming series.

ROG NUC will come in two different models. In the first case, the buyer will be given an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, and in the second case, Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 will be given. In both cases, RAM can be increased. Up to 32 GB and an SSD can be used as a user memory module with an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 connector.

Asus ROG NUC can be mounted horizontally or vertically using the included stand. The front of the mini PC will include an SD card reader, two USB-A ports and audio jacks. The rear panel includes one Thunderbolt 4 port, four USB-A ports, one HDMI port, two DisplayPort ports, and one 2.5Gig Ethernet port.

There is currently no information about when the Asus ROG NUC will be released and what its price will be.
