American company Valve has announced deeper privacy settings for users of its online platform for selling video games Steam. Players will now be able to hide games from everyone, including people in their Steam friends list. This was stated in an official message Web site service.
“In addition to the information that you own such a game, your in-game status and related activity will not be available. This additional feature will allow you to keep most of your Steam library visible to your friends (so they can learn what you’re playing and join in) but hide information about individual games,” Valve explained.
This feature is currently available to Steam beta testers. The innovation allows you to mark a game as private in three places: in the shopping cart, in your library of the web version of the platform in the browser or in the Steam application.
Also, in the beta version of the client, it became possible to add gift games to the cart for multiple friends at the same time, and Steam also introduced a common shopping cart for different devices.
