Hideo Kojima announces a horror game with a “previously impossible concept”

Iconic Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima has teamed up with director Jordan Peele to introduce a new OD game as part of The Game Awards 2023. In this respect reports IGN broadcast.

The first trailer for OD features alternating close-ups of the faces of actresses Sophia Lillis (It) and Hunter Schafer (Euphoria), as well as actor Udo Kier (A Body for Frankenstein). They read the same text, then footsteps are heard in the background and the creak of the door opening is heard. Sophia Lillis’ heroine sees a man in the doorway and screams heartbreakingly in terror.

Hideo Kojima described OD as a work of horror art that sits at the intersection of video game and movie definitions. How he is writing DTF stated that OD was a game with a “previously impossible concept”, citing an earlier interview with the game designer.

Kojima is working on OD with Xbox Game Studios and Jordan Peele, director of popular horror films No, Us and Get Out. The new game will also be in the horror genre.

Release date information has not been announced.
