Streaming service Amazon Prime has released the first trailer for the Fallout series, based on Bethesda’s video game series of the same name. Video clip available on the official Prime Video YouTube channel.
The trailer is two and a half minutes long. During this time, viewers are shown many key features of the Fallout universe. That means Vault 33’s hero, Lucy, the power armor-clad warriors of the Brotherhood of Steel, mutants of all kinds, and more. The video clip is accompanied by Nat King’s song I Don’t Want to See Tomorrow.
The action of the show, like the events in the games, will unfold 200 years after the Great War. This war began and ended on October 23, 2077, when the United States, China, and other powers exchanged nuclear weapons. People surviving in the shelters rise to the surface and try to adjust to a drastically changed new world.
Fallout’s showrunners were Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of “Westworld” fame. The main roles in the series were played by Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan and more.
Amazon’s Fallout is scheduled for release on April 12, 2024.
