Apple released the iOS 17.1.1 update, which paralyzed several generations of iPhones due to certain actions. The portal reports this WCCFtech.
According to complaints from netizens, the error occurs when the user opens a search in the “Application Library” and exits the search while holding his finger on the screen. When you return to the same section, the smartphone completely stops responding to any actions, including touching the screen or pressing buttons. This makes it impossible to unlock, turn off, or use the iPhone for any purpose.
The bug affects various iPhone models, including the latest iPhone 15. Currently the only way to restart the device is to force it to restart by holding down the Power button and pressing the Volume buttons in sequence.
Apple has yet to comment on the situation or announce plans to release another update to fix the bug. Users who have not yet installed iOS 17.1.1 are advised to postpone the update until the conditions are clarified.
