A smartphone battery loses its life more slowly if it is used while charging between 40% and 90%. In this respect reports Russia Today cites the words of Denis Kuvikov, Director of the regional engineering center SafeNet (“Safenet”) of the National Technology Initiative (NTI).
According to him, all smartphone batteries inevitably deteriorate over time. The user can only influence the speed of this process. For example, Kuvikov believes that it will be better for the battery if the smartphone is not used at low temperatures.
“In the cold, at sub-zero temperatures and even slightly above zero degrees, any battery not only runs out very quickly, but also loses its performance characteristics. “Battery life runs out faster,” he said.
At the same time, according to Kuvikov, it is better to avoid completely discharging the battery and not fully charging it. For normal operation, you should stick to an indicator of 40 to 90%.
“It is a myth that the phone must be discharged to zero. More precisely, given the development of technology and modern materials, the information is already out of date,” the expert concluded.
