Apple has refused to give benefits to unionized workers at some Apple Stores in the United States. In this respect reports The Verge’s edition.
At least the employees of the store in Towson (USA, Maryland) did not receive additional benefits. They called for new health care options, free subscriptions to the education platform Coursera, and down payment at some colleges.
According to The Verge, Apple turned away union members in that city to prevent workers at other stores from joining the union.
The unions’ fight against Apple has been ongoing since at least October 2022. The development of this conflict in the United States is monitored by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
At the time of the news, Apple had not commented on the decision to reject the union in Towson.
