At the AI Journey conference on artificial intelligence and machine learning, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank Alexander Vedyakhin said that Sber has created a new version of the generative model for creativity – Kandinsky 3.0. According to the company’s top executive, the improved neural network, compared to previous versions, better understands the user’s text request and can create realistic images in a few seconds, including on the subject of Russian culture.
“Artificial intelligence technologies can give people superpowers. Kandinsky is one of the tools that provides these capabilities. This is a useful, functional and free Sber neural network for creativity. We are constantly working to improve it,” noted Alexander Vedyakhin.
Deputy chairman of the board of directors of Sberbank emphasized that the new version of the model better understands the demands from users, learns to understand the intricacies of Russian culture and folk art.
“Experiment, create, create unique works of art that can be gifts or adorn your collection,” he urged users.
Sber press service explained that Kandinsky 3.0 knows the elements of the local cultural code better than previous versions.
Thus, the quality of production of Russian and Soviet famous personalities and characters, architectural landmarks, cultural objects and elements of Russian folk art, such as Gzhel painting, has significantly increased, the company added.
Also during the conference Sber presented a neural network Video of Kandinsky — the first productive model in Russia for creating full-fledged videos using text descriptions.
The model produces video sequences up to 8 seconds long at a frequency of 30 frames per second.
Alexander Vedyakhin noted that the company recently trained Kandinsky on creating animated videos using text descriptions, and today offers a completely different level model for creating full-fledged videos using text.
“This is a significant contribution to the development of Russian generative neural networks. Users will have more opportunities for creativity and applying their creative ideas in any direction. People will be able to create unique videos completely free of charge. Our model, like most models in the Sber series, will be available as open source” said Alexander Vedyakhin.
