Members of the US Congress announced that an investigation should be conducted against Elon Musk’s SpaceX company after information about numerous cases of injuries to company employees appeared in the media. In this respect reports Reuters agency.
At least three MPs spoke in favor of the investigation. They are all from the Democratic Party and represent states such as California and New Jersey.
For example, Zoe Lofgren, California’s top Democrat on the Science, Space and Technology Committee, said media reports of injuries to SpaceX workers are “extremely concerning and should be taken very seriously.” Mark Takano, a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, expressed his opinion in solidarity with Lofgren.
“These egregious and frequent violations at SpaceX are unacceptable. Accountability to victims is long overdue, especially given the federal government’s partnership with the company,” Takano said.
At the time of the news, SpaceX had not commented on reports of employee injuries or comments from lawmakers.
