State Duma deputies were subjected to a massive attack by phone scammers. In this respect reports Telegram channel Mash refers to Dmitry Gusev, a deputy of the political party “Fair Russia – Patriots – For Truth”.
According to Gusev, he and his colleagues were subjected to major attacks from fraudsters starting from November 16, 2023. On behalf of the leaders, ambassadors write to MPs, ask for various information and try to get a loan.
In particular, Gusev encountered a scammer who introduced himself as Chairman of the State Duma for Control Oleg Morozov. Since the MP was informed about this type of fraud, he immediately understood everything and invited the fraudster to meet in person, fixing the place and time.
“Naturally, no one came to the scene and the fraudsters were ignored. Applications against them have already been forwarded to the prosecutor’s office,” writes Mash.
It was not stated whether any of the MPs were harmed as part of these fraudulent actions. This isn’t the first time scammers have tried to defraud Russians by posing as leaders.
