The beta version of WhatsApp messenger now has a button to launch an AI-based chatbot. The portal reports this WABetaInfo.
The innovation was noticed in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android under the number 2.23.24.26. There is now a shortcut above the button to create a new dialogue in the “Chats” tab that starts conversations with the AI. Moreover, chats with artificial intelligence are currently only accessible to a limited number of users, so it is not yet possible to control the performance of the chatbot.
Most likely, the new button will appear for users with stable builds of WhatsApp only after the release of chatbots with artificial intelligence. It is not known whether the innovation will work in Russia.
Artificial intelligence-supported features were announced by WhatsApp at the end of September. The developers promised to launch three functions at once in the future, including AI chats, as well as the ability to create individual stickers and create images based on text descriptions.
In correspondence with artificial intelligence, users will be able to ask questions on any topic or, in the words of the developers, organize discussions with dozens of unique characters who will express their own opinions.
Previously recognizedChats and photos of WhatsApp users will no longer be stored for free.
