Ukrainian studio GSC Game World, developer of the STALKER game series, has received a new ultimate beneficiary. According to the portal, this person turned out to be Max Krippa, a businessman and investor in the field of IT and e-sports. DTF with reference to local media and business registry data.
According to the source, GSC Game World founder Sergei Grigorovich was removed from the list of company owners on September 22, 2023. Instead, the Cypriot company GSC GAME WORLD GLOBAL LTD, owned by Max Krippe, appeared in the records. Also in March 2023, the Ukrainian legal entity GSC UKRAINE LLC was registered with a registered capital of 100 thousand hryvnias. The president of this company is Ekaterina Tkachenko, who also works as a community manager at GSC Game World.
GSC Game World confirmed the information about the change of ownership, but noted that it would not affect the studio’s activities and projects. In particular, they stated that the cooperation with Crippa started in 2020 within the scope of a non-public investment agreement. He also added that the leaders of the company are still Sergei and Evgeniy Grigorovich, investors do not interfere in the creative process and give the studio complete freedom of choice.
The studio is currently working on STALKER 2, the sequel to the series. Rumor has it that the game will be released for PC and Xbox Series X/S in February 2024.
