The game “Rus vs. Lizards” has sold more than 100 thousand copies, but has not yet been able to bring big money to the authors. Game designer and one of the project developers Daniil Kosachev told socialbites.ca about this.

“Russ vs. Lizards” is an indie game created by Russian studio The Bratans, based on memes about the conflict between ancient Rus and lizards. The project was released at the end of September, and in the first weeks of sales the game entered the top 10 of Russian Steam.

“I can’t explain the exact sales, but there are over 100 thousand copies. We did not expect that we would be successful and we are still in shock. We are very pleased with your attention and support, dear Russians,” Kosachev said.

He also stated that approximately 50% of the money earned from the sale of the game consists of digital store commissions and taxes.

“Steam has not yet brought us money due to problems with the inability to transfer money to the Russian Federation normally. We haven’t received anything yet. We wait and hope. So far we have earned 60 thousand rubles from the VK Play service. “We are still waiting for these funds to be withdrawn,” the developer admitted.

According to Kosachev, developers are still “simple guys” who create games in their spare time.

Earlier critics expressed uncertainty About the PlayStation Portal console.
