Starlink will connect to rural schools in Kazakhstan

The press service of the government of Kazakhstan noted that republican authorities connected 10 rural schools to the Internet in test mode using Starlink technology of the American company SpaceX. This was reported by TASS.

The statement claims that in October 2023, 10 rural schools were connected to broadband internet using SpaceX’s Starlink technology in test mode. The press service added that in this way the data transfer rate reaches 200 Mbit/s.

The publication states that a total of two thousand educational institutions in remote regions of Kazakhstan are planned to be connected to Starlink.
