Sega is positioning the project as a collection of related big budget (AAA) games using a wide range of the company’s technologies. “Super Game” is expected to “go beyond traditional video games.”
“To achieve this goal and take our business to the next level, we are researching and creating new technologies for Super Game, a major game that will be released worldwide before the end of March 2026,” said Sega President Yukio Sugino.
It is known that the development process of the “Super Game” started in 2021. Sega plans to invest approximately $882 million in the project over five years.
VGC writes that shortly before the Super Game was announced, Sega canceled development of the service game Hyenas from Creative Assembly, as well as a number of other unannounced projects.
