The new beta version of WhatsApp messenger for iOS now offers the ability to create group calls with up to 31 users. In this respect reports WABetaInfo publication.
The new version of WhatsApp has the number 23.21.72. The app is available to download from the App Store for beta test participants only.
WABetaInfo writes that the messenger has previously made group calls to 32 accounts. However, in the previous version, the function only allowed the call originator to add 15 people independently.
“The new WhatsApp feature significantly improves group calling, allowing users to quickly join more people with just a few taps, while also eliminating the need to add them to the call later,” writes WABetaInfo.
Shortly before that, a similar option appeared in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android under number 2.23.19.16.
WABetaInfo expects updated group calls to appear in the streaming version of the IT company Meta Messenger (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) in the near future.
