Russia has launched a unified service to fight unwanted spam calls and messages. The advantage is that the novelty does not require installation of additional programs on the smartphone.

To block a spammer, you can apply on the websites of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia and three telecom operators – MTS, Tele2 and MegaFon. In the future, it is expected to be launched on the sites of other operators. A special form allows you to make a complaint about incoming voice or text ads. Ad blocking is expected to take place within 72 hours.

Operators claim that the system effectively detects spam using a number of indicators, minimizing the risk of false blocking. And to increase efficiency between operators, information is exchanged about user complaints and issues related to unauthorized calls to their customers.
