Disabling automatic search for Wi-Fi networks can extend the operating time of your smartphone on a single charge. In this respect reports RIA Novosti cites the words of Nikita Mokeev, IT expert and co-founder of the Pchinka blog.
Mokeev claims that disabling a number of functions on the phone can save up to 10% of the daily charge. This recommendation is especially relevant for smartphones that have been in use for several years.
Expert lists functions such as automatic search for Wi-Fi networks, automatic launch of applications, vibration response and more. Mokeev also recommends disabling the system printing service.
“This setting constantly searches for printers so you can quickly print the document you need. Previously it had to be enabled independently, then the developers decided that it should be enabled by default,” Mokeev added.
According to the expert, these recommendations have no reason for new devices, because their batteries are not yet exhausted. But they can be useful for smartphones that are already two years old or older.
