American grandmaster Hans Niemann has denied using remote-controlled vibrating anal beads in his win against Magnus Carlsen in the Sinquefield Cup chess tournament in September 2022. After his loss, Magnus Carlsen accused his opponent of using a remote-controlled anal toy. Allegedly someone used the vibration to tell Niemann the right moves to win. A legal battle ensued between the chess players, which was only resolved peacefully in August 2023.
In the interview, Piers Morgan asked Niemann if the grandmaster ever used anal beads while playing chess.
“I want this to clarify a particular accusation,” the journalist explained.
The chess player said there was no such thing. At the same time, he suspected that the TV presenter was personally interested in the intimate details of the athlete’s life.
