Microsoft will update the user agreement in Russia

American IT giant Microsoft has started sending notifications to Russian users about an upcoming change to its user agreement for web services. In this respect informs RIA News.

“We are updating the Microsoft Services Agreement that applies to the Microsoft products or services you use. We add explanations to make some provisions clear to users. In addition, the updated agreement will also cover new Microsoft products, services and features.

A significant part of the update will affect AI-based services. The company will complement statements on content generated by neural networks and set restrictions and requirements for users of AI services.

Microsoft also promised to fix typos, grammatical errors and other errors in the Russian text. Some titles and hyperlinks in the contract will be updated.

“We’ve made the terms text more understandable overall,” Microsoft said.

The updated user agreement will go into effect on September 30, 2023.
