WhatsApp developers, following the example of Telegram, can offer a paid premium subscription to their messenger. In this respect informs RIA Novosti cites the words of Vladimir Zykov, director of the Association of Professional Users and Messengers of Social Networks.

According to Zykov, WhatsApp systematically repeats all the new functions of Telegram. The expert believes that this is how the American messenger tried not to lose its relevance and not repeat the fate of the ICQ service, which was extremely popular in the 2000s.

Zykov’s agency quotes: “There are already news channels on Whatsapp, and premium subscription will definitely appear there …”.

The expert added that WhatsApp’s future radical design update is also inspired by Telegram’s design. According to Zykov, the American service also wants to be “lighter” in terms of visual perception.

Zykov believes that when the messenger became the market leader, it stopped developing its mobile client and providing useful and useful options for ordinary users.
