German business process management systems developer SAP has started notifying its Russian partners and customers about the end of support for its software from December 31, 2023. In this respect informs Kommersant edition.
According to the journalists’ source, nearly 100 different organizations that continue to use German software in Russia have received such notifications. In this context, some of them started to transfer the technical support of their systems to local IT companies. One of these successor organizations is Lab SP, created by former employees of SAP’s Russia division.
Lab SP reports that they are fully prepared to support Russian SAP customers. The company claims that it already works with several dozen companies whose infrastructure is built on the basis of SAP.
Experts interviewed by Kommersant believe that the transfer of Russian companies from German software to domestic counterparts is a difficult task and will take time to complete. Developments of 1C and Lanit are given as native alternatives to SAP.
