OK has launched the Tracer service for developers to help you find technical issues and generate automatic bug reports in mobile apps on Android and iOS. This is indicated in the message of the social network.

The service is free, tested in a number of major VK applications and is open for integration by all external developers at apptracer.ru.

Tracer offers developers more opportunities than popular error collection and analysis services used in Russian and foreign applications. In addition to the standard functions (collecting data on errors, freezes and other basic statistics of application stability), the service allows you to quickly search for problems within partitions and program modules.

With Tracer, you can also find errors related to memory leaks, one of the most common causes of app crashes, in real time. These are difficult to detect using conventional analysis tools, and the speed with which such issues are resolved is critical for the developer and therefore the user.

With Tracer, you can quickly see how code works in an application that is already running. The service helps to find “bottlenecks” in performance, taking into account all the characteristics of the user’s device, including those that cannot be reproduced locally by the developer or detected during testing.

Tracer was developed by the Odnoklassniki team and its capabilities were tested within one of Russia’s most resource-intensive OK social network. Tracer was later also implemented in a number of VK products: Cloud Mail.ru, Zen, VKontakte and others, with an average monthly audience of more than 100 million users worldwide.

Starting the service allowed Odnoklassniki to reduce the number of application errors related to memory leaks by 5x.

Previously in Odnoklassniki seen congratulations open showcase function.
