Microsoft plans to add artificial intelligence features to built-in Windows applications, including the Paint graphics editor. How informs In Windows Central, the company is considering integrating an algorithm into Paint that can generate images based on the text description entered by the user.
The algorithm will be based on a neural network already used by the Bing Image Creator service. The source has also released a mockup of the updated Paint interface with new features. A Magic Paint button and a sidebar should appear in the graphic editor, where the user can set the parameters of the desired image. The resulting image is then transferred to the canvas for further modifications at your discretion or saved.
In addition to Paint, AI features can be implemented in other Windows apps such as Photos, Camera, and Snipping Tool. They will be able to recognize faces and text in photos and screenshots, which will facilitate working with graphic data.
It is not known when the innovations will appear in Windows. The next major update of the Microsoft operating system, which will increase the capabilities of working with artificial intelligence, is scheduled for 2024.
