As a child, Bill Gates was lazy to study mathematics at school and did not find the subject interesting. In this respect informs Business Insider (BI) quotes an interview with the 67-year-old billionaire and founder of Microsoft IT company with Sal Khan on the Unconfuse Me podcast.

“I was a bit lazy when I started studying math. One day in eighth grade, a teacher said to me, “Why are you so lazy? You can really be great at math.” Then I replied: “But we’re not doing anything interesting,” Gates said.

According to the billionaire, the teacher motivated him in every possible way to study mathematics and gave him various books that “push him to the best.” At the same time, Gates believed that the less effort he made, the steeper he got.

Gates later entered Harvard University. He had a “great experience” there, according to him. However, the future billionaire left him anyway to create Microsoft with Paul Allen and not miss the opportunity to be a part of the computer revolution according to BI.
