In the first half of 2023, the largest share (27.7%) of all promotional messages sent to WhatsApp came from online education companies. The remaining 38.1% of messages came from other areas such as IT and beyond.
With the number of messages sent to WhatsApp, the investment of Russian companies in messenger marketing has also increased. If in the first half of 2022 the total expenditure of companies on WhatsApp mail was 21.9 million rubles, then in 2022 this figure increased by 2.5 times to 55 million rubles.
TextBack attributes the growth of Russian business activity in WhatsApp to the difficulties of existing on other online platforms.
