Xiaomi has listed three popular Redmi and Poco smartphones in its End of Life (EoL) list. These devices will no longer receive any updates and repairs at the company’s official service centers, informs XiaomiUI portal.

Smartphones joining the EoL list include the budget-friendly Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 and Poco M2. Now these gadgets of the company will not receive security patches, Android updates and MIUI proprietary shell. Also, in the event of a malfunction, smartphones cannot be repaired at Xiaomi official service centers.

At the same time, the company removed the old model of the line, Redmi Note 9 Pro, from the End of Support list in mid-August. This means that a smartphone with the prefix Pro can receive updates.

Although all of the listed smartphones were released in 2020, they remain popular in their segment and continue to be used by millions of users. So, in just 10 months of sales, budget smartphones Redmi Note 9 sold 20 million devices.

Previously head of Xiaomi perceived to test the company’s first electric car.
