Hackers have learned how to trick users with any iPhone smartphone, including fake airplane mode. These release reports AppleInsider Reference Jamf Threat Labs experts.
The device hacking technique relies on hacking the device and turning on Airplane Mode on the iPhone so that the user can believe that the phone is not transmitting any data over Wi-Fi and cellular network.
But attackers faking the fake airplane mode can actually transfer the smartphone owner’s personal data via the Internet, cellular communication or Wi-Fi. Experts also explained that the actions of hackers were not noticed by users.
Two programs are included in the process: one creates a spoofed mode by modifying UI elements, and the second maintains a network connection to send information.
Experts have yet to definitively determine whether the attacker can perform the initial attack by installing programs over the wireless network or whether he needs physical access to the device.
